Saturday night March 24 was a very special night for Doug Rose and a extra
special night for motorsports fans in Southwest Florida.
The Green Mamba lit up Charlotte County Motorsports Park and the surrounding
area as the most famous Jet Dragster in the world came back to life.
Doug wants his fans to know how much he appreciates all the wonderful
help, and wonderful e-mails, and contributions to bringing the Green Mamba
back to the motorsports stage.

A great article came off the presses of the St. Petersburg Times (FL)
on Monday. The piece was written by Brady Dennis and titled "Rebuilding
a legend".
Here is an excerpt:
" She's quiet now. Still in pieces. Still not herself. But when Doug
Rose gazes wearily at the shell of his life's work, sitting there in a
drab warehouse near the Tampa airport, he sees all she was and all she
could be again. "She's a tough old hide," the tough old man
says. "She's a real bear." She is the Green Mamba - his jet
car, his legacy, his meal ticket."

A
SPECIAL NOTE FROM THE DAUGHTER OF DOUG ROSE:
Hi,
my name is Nickey Rose and I am Doug's daughter, and I just wanted to
take this opportunity to thank you ALL for helping him through this time
of need.
I love him
very much and I live in Canada so I can't get there to be there for him
and it's nice to know there are people out there to make up for the people
who did this, good to know there are still good people out there.
Thank you.

There has been an arrest in the Green Mamba Jet Car theft. A man is in
jail on $100,000 according to Ted Kempgens. A source from the St Petersburg
Times called Doug Rose, the owner of the Mamba, today with the news.
Doug and
Ted will be special guests of Real Racin' USA on Tuesday evening.
Dec 8, 2006
Doug and his friend Ted Kempgens are hard at work trying to put back the
pieces of the Green Mamba at a location in Florida.
Actually it is a also a major matter of finding the pieces. Though the
"chop shop" where the Green Mamba was being cut up is known,
there have been no arrests as of today, and the location of the rest of
the "Mamba" are unknown.
There is a tremendous amount of work needed to be done over the coming
months and there may be require a nationwide search for parts.
If you can help, please either send e-mail using the address on this page
or call 352-588-9621.
